Except the MTV award, I was only nominated. If it was in my life I would be the winner.

"I was interested in the story of my bird. One of the reasons I wanted to do [Rio] is because I’ve become sort of friendly with animal life and to do a movie that promotes, um, the preservation of endangered species, the protection of the environment, was a wonderful opportunity and it does it in a way that is not, uh, condescending; it does it in a way that is definitely not explicitly political or crass. And it does it in a way that’s fun."

- Jesse Eisenberg, New York Magazine

Okay, usually i ignore this kind of idiotic article, but WHAT? How is Mark a neurotic character in any shape or form? Mark is intelligent and arrogant and cold and occasionally ruthless and never, ever neurotic. He speaks fast not becasue of a stereotyped neurosis but because his mind works on a number of levels and he has too many thoughts all bursting out at once. He is at times socially awkward but doesn’t really mind; in any case, he considers most of the people he meets to be intellectually beneath him and doesn’t care for interaction. He is never anxious; even at the face of multiple lawsuits he retains a determined face and a blank stare. If you consider Mark to be neurotic, then I will consider you to be an idiot. Or, a person that slept through The Social Network.
Oh, and while we’re at it: Jesse Eisenberg played the character described above perfectly. He inhabited a character so far away from his previous roles and his own personality so flawlessly, that he was virtually unrecognisable. Incidentally, this view was shared by many more people, which is where that little “Academy Award nominee” thing came from. Okay?
